I have studied eight languages so far - to greater or lesser degrees - and have plans for several more, but always with one aim in mind and that is to be able to use my newly acquired vocabulary and grammatical structures to communicate with a wide range of people who speak those languages. I have learnt some languages at various educational institutes, others I have studied by myself.
From my experience as a student, I have learnt a good deal about teaching and thus I have been able to find out what works and what does not work for the language learner.

I believe that WELS offers the best language learning environment possible for any student with a real desire to explore a foreign language in its natural setting until that language becomes his or her own.

Pauline Huntington has over 15 years of experience as a writer, translator and educator. A British citizen, Ms. Huntington holds joint degrees in Music and German. She is fluent in English, German and Korean and has taught English as a Foreign Language in countries all over the world including Austria, Germany, Japan and Korea.
